Fabric Scrap Portraits

I was inspired by fabric silhouettes I saw in Family Fun Magazine. To make these colorful portraits of my girls and their favorite animals all I did was dig out the fabric scraps, left-over buttons and baubles, scrapbook paper and got my craft on.

Scrapbook paper was used for the backgrounds and the $ bins at Target had diploma frames with plastic inserts, which was perfect for these portraits because I would hate to throw away perfectly good pieces of glass.

 This is a real braid...three strips of fabric braided.

Finished products placed over the beds. The super cute pennants were made by my good friend Christina over at Yellow Whistle as party favors for her daughter's Lalaloopsy party.
